Hello everybody!
It's my first name day of the year 2025, so I want to wish you all a happy new year and hope you enjoyed 2024 as much as I did. 2024 was finally a really good year for me, I couldn't have wished for much better than as it really was. And the first days of 2025 also affect promising, let's hope that this year is also going to be great!
Yesterday was the day when I got to the point that it's time to post something new here.
First of all, the old Instagram Feed module didn't work anymore after a Meta policy change. I've removed the old module from the site and replaced it with a new one, so you can see my latest IG posts at the bottom of the page again. At the same time, I've updated a few download links, especially the Bombardier Traxx's one, because it has a new download page with an upgraded version of the train.
Second, as I mentioned in the latest post on the site, I've been using my Steam Deck as my primary PC since almost two years, and after such a long time I can say that on the Deck almost everything works perfectly that I used to run on my old, Windows 10-based home PC. At the same time, I feel like I left Windows permanently. Since a very long time I only use the KDE Plasma based Linux and the One UI based Android. And for me they are perfect. Steam OS no longer affects like an early beta, it's already a fully functioning and greatly optimized platform and I wouldn't like to leave it soon. I even managed to solve the controlling of OpenBVE without keyboard/mouse plugged and it also works great. I even write this post from my Deck in desktop mode, using Microsoft Edge - it's the best I could choose as even in work I also use Edge and all the Microsoft apps that also work on the Deck as they need to.
Feel free to comment here if you have any questions or requests - you know I'm always going to be available for You. ;)
Have a great year once again and cheers!
Marci
